Recently, Dr. Stackhouse went and did Volunteer Work at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island to assist their veterinarian with a sick sea turtle. Dr. Stackhouse has been volunteering his services there for the past 5 years to help sea turtles with various eye issues.

The turtle that he assisted with recently is named Manicotti. Manicotti is a young green sea turtle who had a tumor on his conjunctiva that Dr. Stackhouse helped remove. The surgery went well, Manicotti is recovering quickly and will be released back into the wild soon!
